Butler University (Biology, Math, Eng)
I am Chester and I can teacher your High Schooler, Middle Schooler, Elementary Schooler, or drooler (alright maybe not that young) any of the physical sciences. I can even make it exciting and fun.
This last year I worked at The Evergreen School in Shoreline as a Teaching Assistant for their upper division. I often lead and directed classrooms in Math and Science and was able to teach and progress the students in the subject matter.
This makes sense since I studied all that stuff in college and retained it well since I am a pretty smart and sharp guy. I have BS in Mechanical Engineering, Biology, and Math from Purdue University and Butler University (yeah college hoops! go dogs! ps - Brad Stevens is a hero of mine)
I am working on getting my masters in Education with a Science and Math endorsement. In addition to my Teaching Assistant duties I spent time tutoring struggling as well as excelling low income students at the Yesler Tutoring Program downtown.
I am great with all ages of kids I enjoy working with older gifted kids b/c I can push a lot of learning barriers and get to subject material that doesn't usually get touched in standard topics. I love working with younger kids and I believe this is where my strength / gift lies. I am patient and fun with this the 4-10 year-olds. I really enjoy my time spent with them. I am fully enthralled and entertained by children at this age we get along very well.
I love kids and have a passion for working with, and teaching them. I can almost guarantee you that after a few tutoring sessions with me, your student will like learning from me and be asking for more sessions, just so that they can learn all this awesome math and science stuff. I am full of enthusiasm and energy. You've just gotta meet me, then you'll have no doubt that I gotta tutor you / your child.
I have no doubt I will get along with your child and find many positive things about them that will help us work through the struggles and difficulties they are having in the subject matter they need more attention in.
- Thanks. Talk soon.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
