I am very proficient with computers and windows software, I took 4 different IT courses while attending YVCC. I also have experience building computer towers as well as taking them apart to clean them or swap/upgrade parts. My father is a senior IT technician, so I've learned quite a bit over the years. I have no experience tutoring or teaching, but I think that this is something that I will be able to do well, as I am very passionate about computers and I'm positive that someone could easily learn a good deal from me.
I know how to operate all of the Microsoft programs, and software. My favorite programs to work with would have to be Microsoft Publisher, Word, and Access. I also know how to do the basic configure/run important software programs, as well as updates and scans to keep the computer in good health and ensure that it is protected and running to its fullest potential.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
