My thesis film, Life-world Series (2017, 118 minutes), which is a collection of 10 short films shot in Hong Kong, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, mainland China, and the USA, was exhibited as a multi-screen video installation at the ASEANnale held in the Philippines from 28 February to 2 March 2018. I have made short-film episodes beyond the first 10 included in Life-world Series. All films in the Life-world Series Project, together with my photography portfolio that covers various genres such as travel, architectural, nature, events, food, and street photography are exhibited on my website: JoniGutierrez.com

My genuine love for cinema, photography, and the arts in general binds my two-pronged passion as an artist and a teacher. I share this with my students by empowering them to master the elements and techniques of their chosen art form so they could materialize their own visions through that creative medium.
