I am a recent college graduate from Drexel University with a high GPA. I gained my bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences. Since I have had ample experience tutoring in the past, you as a student can expect high quality tutoring sessions from an individual who knows what they are doing. I am a recent college graduate from Drexel University with a high GPA. I gained my bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences. Since I have had ample experience tutoring in the past, you as a student can expect high quality tutoring sessions from an individual who knows what they are doing. In the beginning I used to only help Biology students (ages 18-22) with their classwork in my college. As word of mouth spread, I expanded into volunteering and tutoring for other subjects such as Math, Physics and English within my college. Recently, I have expanded and I now tutor students from age 6-40 years online and in the West Philadelphia neighborhood.

Though all experiences have involved helping students learn to feel confident in their abilities, each circumstance has been different; as a result, I am quick to adapt to each student's needs, and you as my next potential student will be no different. I believe everyone has a different way of learning - some methods might be faster than others, and it does not mean that the method is necessarily better or worse. I analyze and understand the needs of my students and then appropriately modify each tutoring session to enable the best learning experience possible. I believe patience, enthusiasm, hard work, and respect are a very important part of any teacher-student relationship, and will strive to acquire the same values with you during sessions. You should feel assured there will be no negativity and no judgment when working with me, since there is neither need nor room in learning environments for either.

*Please note: As I do not have a car on campus, I would prefer holding lessons within 1 mile of University City. I prefer meeting in a public place or online tutoring. Thank you!

Hindi

Hindi is a native language. I come from an Indian family and I have lived in India for 15 years of my life. While growing up, my parents made sure I have not one of those international children that hardly new the native language of their family. My mother has made sure any gaps that I had learning Hindi from my environment, she would fill those in. I am a proficient speaker, writer and reader of the Hindi language. Over the years, I have taught Hindi to my friends and younger brother as well. I know a simple translation of Hindi to English is not a viable method of teaching as the two languages do not share the same sentence structure. The best way to learn Hindi is by practice, by speaking only Hindi so that students can over time understand the content from context instead of translation (similar to methods used for ESL).

Angie is one of the greatest teachers I have had!

I was a student at Community College of Philadelphia and my past semester I was required to take pre-calculus 11 in order to gain my Associates Degree. I had to withdraw in the prior Fall semester due to poor grades. I needed help badly and I am so happy I stumbled upon Angie! She is extremely intelligent, kind, punctual and explains math thoroughly and simply to make it easy to understand. She had the patience for me and it was clear to see that she wanted me to succeed in class. Without her help, I wouldn't have been able to pass. She dedicated many hours to helping me study and making sure I could do well in each test. I went from a Withdraw to an because Angie was such a wonderful teacher. I highly suggest her as a tutor!

Amazing!

Anjali and I went through varying topics within functions and she not only showed me examples but explained to me why I need to solve problems in the way I do and in what ways this is applicable within the world of math (example, how the rate of change that I am learning now will be applicable in calculus and understanding of changing slopes in functions). Every time we meet I get more confident about my abilities in each topic.
