I am a digital photographer, painter and sculptor, with a history of award winning art, exhibition and teaching experience. I have been an instructor of advanced digital theory, 2d design, interface design, digital painting, comic digital art and digital photo manipulation. I was on the faculty at the Art Institute of Seattle from 1996 to September of 2012. I have post-graduate credits in Photoshop advanced skills. I was a semifinalist in the Adobe Design Achievement Awards for both 2011 and 12 in Innovation in Teaching Traditional Media in Education.
I am a Guru Award finalist winner in the artistic category of Photoshop Digital Art at three world conferences (2001-03-05) hosted by the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. In 2007-08 I was part of the Adobe team that helped develop and beta test Photoshop CS4. I also have been working with and teaching Photoshop as well as many other art subjects for over 28 years. I was a senior lecturer at SIGGRAPH 2007, San Diego.

I am a very good teacher; Depending on your desire you will learn fast and do more in less time than you might expect.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Adobe Lightroom is software that is used as a part of the organization of images used by most professionals. It is designed to optimize file and metadata input and to set file dates, subject, key words, location and to do much more without the use of other manipulation software.

I have both BFA and MFA degrees plus 16.5 years of teaching at the University level. Art theory is part of the classroom activities that are devoted to the composition of good design and visual communication. It is part of all color theory and 2D design class that I have taught.
