I am a patient tutor with greater than 5,000 hours of experience tutoring or teaching. I studied a variety of fields, while pursuing my Chemical Engineering degree. I became a tutorial instructor, because I am excited to see people learn. I was a tutor, through college. I always studied for depth with the intent to teach what I learned.

It is common for my students to laugh during study sessions. I was voted the most inspirational student by my senior-year band class. I was recognized as the student of the month by my AP US History instructor, immediately following the AP season. For every undergraduate semester that I attended WSU, I was on the President’s Honor Roll.

I believe that everyone is capable of gaining a firm grasp of mathematical concepts. I have helped many students to overcome their anxiety and gain a more intuitive understanding of math. I have studied learning disabilities and have helped students with unique learning styles. I am familiar with the autism spectrum. Thank you, for your consideration.

Chemical Engineering,

Chemical Engineering

I hold a BS in Chem E (GPA 3.7) with minors in Mathematics and Material Science Engineering. I was a tutorial instructor and a grader during two years in a course of Material and Energy Balances; my notes on this subject were used by graders at the University of Washington and at Washington State University. I was a grader and tutor for a Physical Chemistry course for which I wrote segments of the solutions manual and errata in the first edition of the text. I've constructed, researched, and presented biological fuel cells. I've presented a fuel-cell powered car at a national AIChE conference. I've researched and presented UREX designs. I've worked for Boeing PhantomWorks on fuel tank anti-corrosive agents. I edited Montana State University's Biofilms book. I've made biodiesel. My report on distillation columns resulted in Washington State University's Chem E department modifying their distillation column content, reflux bulb volume, and thermocouples. My report on the challenges of crystalline fuel cell operation resulted in a redirection of thousands of research dollars away from such projects.
Differential Equations,

Differential Equations

I received an A in differential equations from Washington State University in a course taught by Alex Khapalov, who publishes papers about differential equations. I have a minor in mathematics and have used differential equations in a variety of theoretical and practical applications: physical chemistry, transport phenomenon, electric devices, chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, and system controls. I have over 50 hours of experience tutoring students in areas of calculus, including differential equations.
Electrical Engineering,

Electrical Engineering

I passed the military intelligence electronics specialist course quite quickly. I received a 3.7 or higher in my electrical engineering / electronic devices courses at Washington State University. I have used electrical engineering principles in a variety of theoretical and practical applications: fluid flow, transport phenomenon, and electric devices. I constructed, researched, and presented biological fuel cells. I presented a fuel-cell powered car at a national engineering conference. I wired three buildings with design and application methods according to electrical engineering principles. I have over 50 hours of experience tutoring students in areas of electrics and electronics including electrical engineering.
Logic,

Logic

I studied logic at Bellevue College in high school. I have tutored several logic students. I maintain my proficiency with quiz questions from a math website. I studied a variety of fields while pursuing my degree in Chemical Engineering.
