I am passionate about clear and engaging communication. My role as a pastor, writer, and now doctoral student revolves around clarity of content and delivery of a wide variety of messages. Not only do I speak every week to my congregation, but I travel every year to share with various groups both domestic and international. I have been all across the United States, and I have presented Canada, South America, and South Africa.
My writing career includes articles, columns, and books on subjects of history, communication, theology, worldview, humor, and healthy living. I enjoy the creative process of both writing and speaking and would love the chance to help you hone your skills as you develop your unique voice. I am further honing my skills with a PhD in Communications, with an emphasis on rhetoric. I expect to graduate sometime in 2020.
My degree in theology, my masters of divinity, and over a decade of pastoral experience also make me capable of helping people with their biblical studies. Whether pursuing ministry, or simply wanting to gain a deeper understanding of scripture, I am happy to help. My goal in this area is not to convert you, but rather help you learn tools for better study, and challenge you to develop your own beliefs.
I prefer to meet at my office, located in Puyallup, or at coffee shops, but can work online as well.
I would love the chance to be of service.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I hold a B.A. in Theology from Union College, and a Master of Divinity from Andrews University. I have pastored for 12 years, and written articles and books on theology.
In addition to pastoring for 12 years, currently in a congregation of 700 (meaning I speak nearly every week) I travel internationally to present at conferences and events. This year alone I will speak in Florida, New Zealand, Washington State, and Savannah Georgia in front of audiences ranging from several hundred to a thousand +.
I am also pursuing a PhD in Communications from Regent University in rhetoric and post-Christian homiletics (preaching).
I am a published author and second year PhD student with teaching experience.
