School got you down? Maybe I can help. I am certified and highly qualified to teach K-8 (all subjects) and High School English. I have taught Elementary and Middle School in Washington for 15 years. I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Psychology and a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Technology. I also have experience as a Writing Instructor at the college level.
I can help with most of the academic problems plaguing elementary school students including how to take notes, how to turn assignments in on time, and how to study for that dreaded math test. I'm quite adept at adapting learning goals to students' specific learning styles. I can help students of any age, especially high school and college students, with grammar, spelling, vocabulary, reading, literary elements, and the writing process. So, cheer up! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
