I come from a family of educators, so teaching is in my blood, and my ability to communicate is my strongest asset. Much of my professional career was spent conveying complex concepts in simple, understandable terms for non-technical types to absorb. Not only am I good at it, but I think the process of conveying understanding is fun. I'm college educated with a degree in Management Information Systems and Computer Science, and I spent a number of years teaching basic and intermediate computer and networking classes for the Bridgerland Applied Technical Trade Center in Logan, UT.
After spending 17 years immersed in computer technology, I broke away to follow my passion for photography. By 2007 I was earning a good living as a full-time photographer, shooting commercial stock for Getty Images and iStockphoto. Ever since, my livelihood has depended on my use of a camera, lighting (studio and natural) and Adobe Photoshop. I am an Adobe Certified Expert in Photoshop (Photoshop CC 2015).
If what you need to learn has anything to do with general computer technology, networking, Photoshop or photography, I'm not only a wealth of information - I like to share. And I will help demystify concepts that you might think are difficult or complex.
I look forward to working with you! I come from a family of educators, so teaching is in my blood, and my ability to communicate is my strongest asset. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
