Oklahoma City University (Enrolled)
I am a recent graduate of Oklahoma Christian University with a degree in music education. I am going to attend Oklahoma City University in the Fall of 2016 to pursue a master's in music performance. My major instrument is the trombone. He has played in many different styles such as concert band, jazz band, pit orchestra, symphony orchestra and some chamber music.
I am also capable of teaching beginning piano lessons and voice lessons. I am able to teach music theory, ear training and music history for those who are interested in either preparing for high school or college courses, or who are in need of the extra help in the courses they are currently in. I have a great love for music theory and ear training that I am very enthusiastic about sharing with students. I have student taught elementary and secondary students; teaching general music at the elementary level, and concert band at middle school and high school levels.
I will push my students to bring out their best work. I am very patient and am willing to continue working with a student as long as they are giving it their all in every lesson. One thing that I stress with my students is the importance of music in our every day lives and how it affects us even when we do not realize it. Since music affects us so strongly, it is important that we understand it the best that we can.
