I recently graduated from the University of Washington Seattle with a Masters in Teaching for Mathematics. I wanted to go into teaching and am currently applying for a position to become a math teacher. At the moment, I am using the free time that I have to brush up on my math skills by tutoring. I have about 8 years of experience in tutoring all the way from elementary school math to AP Calculus and Statistics. I also have a lot of experience with tutoring for exam prep such as SAT and ACT as well.

What I enjoy about tutoring and teaching is the interaction with the students and the accomplishments of what they are able to learn from you. What I think is important about tutoring is not just helping the student in the content material of what they're struggling with, but also help them build up study skills, so they are able to utilize those skills in college.

Algebra 1
Geometry
Algebra 2
Precalculus
Calculus
Statistics
SAT/ACT Math
SAT 2 Math

Hence, my goal is not just helping the student get a good score on the SAT/ACT/AP test or a strong GPA in the class, but to also help build a set of skills and confidence within themselves, so the student understands that they are capable of doing well no matter what class or test that they face in the future. If you wish to have me as a tutor, make sure to contact me!

By far the BEST tutor that we have ever had!!!!!

Before Brian started working w my son on his math he would struggle w understanding the concepts and have difficulty getting through all of his weekly homework. Well Brian has not only changed that and made it easier for my son to understand the assignments he has also somehow managed to help my son appreciate and even enjoy working on Math. We would highly recommend Brian to any student needing some extra help and support! We will without a doubt continue having Brian tutor our son for as long as he is available to do so!!!!!

Very knowledgeable

Brian helped me understand the concept of limits with horizontal asymptotes and review of log systems. He’s also a very kinda person and is very thorough in his explanations

Kaitlyn, 3 lessons with Brian

Patient and knowledgeable tutor

Brian knows all levels of mathematics and is very patient with my student. Even though there was a miscommunication about my student's needs, he did a great job to cover the lesson with my student.
