My name is Paula; I am from Romania and I've been living in the US since 2013. I lived in Italy for six years and I loved everything about it.The people are very nice and friendly, the food and wine are excellent, but my favorite part was learning the language. I have a diploma from the University for Foreigners Perugia for Italian proficiency and it will be my pleasure to help you learn this wonderful language.
Looking forward to hearing from you! Paula Culiuc Hello everybody!

Paula is, as Italians would say, "simpatica". She is personable, intelligent, driven to learn new things and, most importantly as a tutor, she expects the best of herself and her students. As a former teacher of 30 years how high a praise can I give? I loved the session and look forward to many more. For me she is "what the (language) doctor ordered".
Paula was very organized and has a lot of enthusiasm for teaching. Additionally, she also had a lot of helpful knowledge about the places she's lived. I look forward to learning more from her!
I was taking a trip to Italy in one month and wanted to learn some basic conversational Italian. Paula was an amazing teacher. Very organized, with just the right lesson plan and homework each week. She is very professional but easy to work with and made learning fun. I feel she taught me the Italian that would be most useful on my trip in the short amount of time I had to learn. She is definitely a dedicated teacher and loves her work!
We dove right in to Italian in a way that made sense to me, by learning verb forms and immediately working on pronunciation of more complicated sentences so I could get the rhythm of the spoken language. She was well prepared and gave me homework that was challenging but reasonable considering my professional workload.
Paula is a wonderful teacher: patient, encouraging, and insightful. She has designed the class to meet our needs and time requirements, plus she discusses cultural aspects. We are fortunate to have her as a tutor. Recommend her highly to other prospective students.
New review: Today I returned to Italian lessons after a break of several months. Paula did an excellent job reviewing and making me feel comfortable after such a long gap in lessons. Her skill and sensitivity to my concerns put me at ease, which facilitated my learning. I wholeheartedly recommend her.
Paula's design and creative implementation of teaching aids is excellent. She personalizes every lesson by making a special effort to present information in a variety of ways to help students learn and retain knowledge more effectively. Plus, she makes lessons fun.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Conversation, writing and grammar.
