Hello to everyone that's reading this! My name is Joseph, and I am a tutor because I enjoy learning, helping others, and meeting new people. One of the best aspects of being a tutor is being able to go out and help someone start to enjoy a subject.
More often than not in our lives, we are faced with a problem, situation, etc, that we do not enjoy. We may think, "Why should I have to face this? What is the purpose of accomplishing this?" While these are everyday questions, they can be quite the downer to our thinking. While tutoring you and helping you with the problems and questions that you may have, I want to be able to have you start to have questions more along the lines of "What can I learn today?" and "How can I use this knowledge to help me?"
Starting out in schooling, I was like your everyday, average student. In fact, I was probably below average. At the beginning of my schooling years, I struggled quite a bit with reading and had to take several years of speech lessons in order to properly convey what I wanted to. The lack of being able to communicate provided some initial difficulties, though I've since overcome these obstacles. I was able to be taught by some of the most excellent people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and through their teachings I was able to gain a solid understanding of both reading and how to communicate properly. These people formed the path that I chose to follow for the next few years.
Throughout the next school years, I continued to learn more and more information, gathering new ideas of how life works on all subjects and areas. I found a complete and utter fascination with learning, and will continue to develop this while helping others develop a respect for learning as well. After all, through hard work and an enjoyment for a subject, anyone can learn everything.
