About Erin

My name is Erin and I received my Master's in Teaching at City University of Seattle, located in Bellevue, WA in June of 2013. I have two years of experience interning in the elementary school setting. I have worked with students any age from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I love math! I really do. I love the challenges and love learning more tactics. Math has been my strong subject since I was a little girl.

Bible Studies

I am a Christian who has taken time to ready and study the Bible. I am in love the stories and can help others as well. I have many study bible that will be helpful. I have taught as co-lead teacher in our church's children's ministry for over 2 years.

Criminal Justice

I have taken a few courses in Criminal Justice. I really find the CJ field interesting and would love to help out with any questions regarding that field.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am received my Master's in Teaching through City U. I have over two years working with students in the school setting. I have also helped tutor students and help them achieve great success in school through my fun and creative approach. I currently teach 3rd grade.

Elementary Math

I love math and I will help you learn the concepts in a fun and creative way. I have been very successful teaching math and allowing the students come up with concepts for successful learning as well. Students and tutors are a team with one goal. I want the students to be able to participate and think of creative ways for success!

Elementary Science

In grad school, I had a science teacher that made science so fun. It helped me get more involved with the subject. I would love to help your students with science. I like to bring creative and fun aspect to learning!

English

English can be tricky but I can help your student be successful. English is a very important language to learn not only in school but in life. I would love to help your student become successful in English.

Grammar

Grammar can be challenging but with the right tutor and fun and creative edge, it can be very successful. I love bringing fun and creative aspects to teaching. I am very patient and will help your student achieve higher success in grammar!

Marketing

I have a Bachelor's in Advertising. I have worked in the marketing field on the client side as well as sales. I can help you overcome objectives and be successful in the marketing field.

Microsoft Outlook

I use Outlook and love it. I would love to help others be successful on Outlook.

Microsoft Word

I use word daily and know the software program very well. I have had to use it so much in school that I would love to help others learn Word. It's a successful tool and very beneficial for students. Word is something everyone should know how to use and I can help anyone with the software program.

Phonics

I have taken classes in grad school on Phonics. I also have other texts that I constantly use to help others in this field. I also teach phonics to my 3rd grade class.

Prealgebra

I love math. I am not kidding, I really love math. I love the challenges and the applicable aspect that it comes with math. I have been really successful helping students with math and I would love to help you or your children with math!

Public Speaking

Public Speaking can be scary but I would love to help out. I feared public speaking for a long time but with help and practice, what you once feared actually becomes fun and engaging!

Religion

I am a Christian but do read up on other religions to be more well rounded. I do know some on other religions and have great suggestions on books for further knowledge.

Social Studies

I have taught Social Studies for two different 5th grade classes and currently teach it to my 3rd grade class. I love teaching and learning more about social studies.

Study Skills

I taught my 5th graders the AVID technique. AVID is based on successful learning with students regarding study skills. I can help your student go from unorganized to completely organized with notecards, highlighter and other tips that have helped me become very successful as well as the students that I taught.
