My name is Jake and I have been tutoring math for multiple years. I recently moved to Redmond, WA. I tutored calculus 1 and calculus 2 for engineering students at the University of Maryland. I tutored elementary school and middle school students in math during my time at the university of Maryland. I worked at MJ Test prep as a math tutor for seven months (near Philadelphia). I have also tutored SAT math. I have many people I could offer as references. I accepted a job in Redmond as a Business analyst and I would like to continue tutoring and helping people improve their math skills. I will be continuing my education in Industrial Engineering at UW on top of work, so using math is really my passion.
I have a 3.9 graduating GPA from University of Maryland in Math and Economics, an 800 (perfect score) on the math section of the SAT, and multiple years of math tutoring experience. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
