Hi everyone. I'm Brett and I graduated magna cum laude from San Francisco State University as a double major, with a degree in French and Theater. Prior to SFSU, I began my college studies within the University of California system, where I travelled abroad and spent a semester studying in the south of France.

As I love working with students, immediately after college I began to teach at French-American lycees (schools) in San Francisco, and then NYC, where I taught theater, literature, English, and French. I then moved to private tutoring, mentoring, and advising, which I have been doing for over 14 years. I love working with students of all ages, backgrounds, learning proficiencies, and abilities. I have taught nearly every subject, but have a particular knack for languages, including French, English, writing, and literature; history, in particular US and French History, social and political science; as well as test prep, with extensive experience in the SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE, and HSPT. I work with many college students on University writing, social-science, psychology, and political science courses. Additionally, I have years-long experience with the college application process, the student written personal statement, and supplemental essays. I am very knowledgable about Universities nationwide, but have helped students apply to nearly every college in British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, and California (and know the UC and CSU system very well).

I am also an actor, producer, and film translator and have been fortunate to work in TV and film for the last 15 years.
