Keiser University (Medical Technologist)
I am a returning student with an online degree currently training myself for a Late life career. My current degree has made my life experience richer, and I find sharing much of the knowledge I have gained in my education rewarding. I am forty years of age, and unmarried with interests in mathematics, chaos theory, philosophy, logic, metaphysics, and the sciences. I also spend time writing and enjoy music. I find that I appreciate the learning process, from both the perspective of student and tutor. The continued connection to my subjects of interest is desireable when learning or teaching. I also have a great desire to aid others, and tutoring is a wonderful way to do these things. I hope I can aid you and your student!
I have tutored students in algebra at Keiser University, Orlando and symbolic logic at Whatcom Community College. I am an able tutor, and have reason to believe that my students receive better grades for my having aided them. I have never received less than a B grade in mathematics and have receives A's in both of the subject I have had experience tutoring.
I encourage any students having difficulty in mathematics or logic to contact me. As a person who has tutored students in the past, I am sure I can be of assistance. I am available weekends and evenings, as my schedule permits. Logic and Mathematics can be a frustrating experience for many people. It does not need to be something that stops you. I look forward to the contact of all perspective students. I am a returning student with an online degree currently training myself for a Late life career. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have tutored symbolic logic for Whatcom Community College more than a full year with my professor's approval, and after receiving an A in the course. I have a continuing interest in symbolic logic and logical fallacies. My method in the tutoring of logic is to begin with what the students are studying at the time, and delve into the text in question while I am tutoring the individual taking the course. I feel I make an effective tutor, and my students receive better grades for my (and their) effort.
