I understand that my student has their own life and responsibilities, and so my approach requires the best from you in a relaxed environment. Even when you are tired, you will enjoy your time as I make it active and enjoyable.

I specialize in making grammar points understood and using activities to enhance learning. I am very proficient at helping you understand how to use a grammar point.
My ability to converse on a wide variety of topics (and listen, too) makes me a good candidate for conversation development, as well.

I went to grad school, but did not complete my thesis. However, that has not prevented me from being an excellent teacher.

If you would like an experienced, kind, demanding teacher, please contact me.

Phonics

I was taught to read via phonics, and it suited my learning style. My Bachelor's degree is in Early Childhood Education and I used phonics to teach reading in the private school where I taught. While teaching ESL in the college, we had a group of women from Somalia who had never gone to school. I amassed a collection of early learning materials to help them learn to read.
