About Jon

As a college student, I pursued all avenues of study because the opportunity was there. While I ended up as a psychology major, I picked up math and computer science minors as well and ran a recording studio and worked with the college radio station to set up concerts on campus.

In high school, I took Calculus I and II and in college continued on with Calculus III and various other math and physics courses, including statistics, linear algebra, differential equations and more. I have taken two semesters in college physics, followed by classes like thermal physics and classical mechanics. As for computer science, I have taken many classes in C++, Visual Basic, PHP and more as well as classes on digital electronics.

With all of this broad knowledge, I have decided to focus on math tutoring. I have been studying Algebra I and II, geometry, and trigonometry the most and will soon have reviewed calculus and statistics. Make sure I am currently tutoring in the subject you are looking for by checking the list below or send me a message asking if I am prepared to tutor in another subject I have studied.

Having taken a psychology major including various classes such as Research Design and Analysis, Statistics, Abnormal Psychology, etc. I am also willing to help with psychology. I am willing to work online or in person.

I wish you well in you or your child's studies.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 2

I have tutored the most in algebra 1 and 2. I just finished tutoring my last client for about a year in algebra.

I graduated from college with a math / physics minor, so I have learned Calculus and beyond.

Psychology

I graduated from The College of Idaho in 2010 after taking 5 years to study various subjects, including my major, which was in psychology. I have taken courses such as Environmental Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Research Design and Analysis, Statistics, History and Systems, and more.

Songwriting

I have been a musician for over ten years, and recording in the studio for just as long.

When I went to The College of Idaho, I ended up running the recording studio there and collaborating on songs with many different musicians - I ended up recording over 50 different songs.

As such, I am good with song structure, techno, drum beats, rhythm and lead guitar, simple keys, and very proficient in bass guitar as well as lyric writing and vocals.

I have been involved with and performed at various concerts and festivals.

Statistics

I graduated from The College of Idaho in 2010 with a major in psychology and minors in math and computer science. The statistics course I took in college was helpful to both my understanding of psychology and math. Since then, I have refreshed my knowledge of statistics and have been tutoring in math for many years.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

John has really helped my son with his algebra. He was coming home lost and really falling behind in math, John is able to explain it in a way that he gets it. He has brought his grade up from an F to a B. And now no longer has the worry of I can't do math. Thank you John.Knowledgeable and patient tutor
