As a college student, I pursued all avenues of study because the opportunity was there. While I ended up as a psychology major, I picked up math and computer science minors as well and ran a recording studio and worked with the college radio station to set up concerts on campus.

As a college student, I pursued all avenues of study because the opportunity was there. While I ended up as a psychology major, I picked up math and computer science minors as well and ran a recording studio and worked with the college radio station to set up concerts on campus.

In high school, I took Calculus I and II and in college continued on with Calculus III and various other math and physics courses, including statistics, linear algebra, differential equations and more. I have taken two semesters in college physics, followed by classes like thermal physics and classical mechanics. As for computer science, I have taken many classes in C++, Visual Basic, PHP and more as well as classes on digital electronics.

With all of this broad knowledge, I have decided to focus on math tutoring. I have tutored in algebra I, algebra II, and trigonometry the most and am also currently tutoring in statistics.

Make sure I am currently tutoring in the subject you are looking for by checking the list below or send me a message asking if I am prepared to tutor in another subject I have studied. I prefer 24 hour notice when scheduling lesson times. Let me know ahead of time what you can about the nature of the lesson, such as topics to be discussed or specific questions and I can spend time preparing for the lesson. I like working with long-term clients the most.

We will need to schedule the lesson 24 hours in advance in most cases. I will wait for 15 minutes for you to show up before considering the lesson canceled. A lesson that is canceled without notice is a no-show and this will result in a one-hour charge. I do not charge this fee for instant book requests, however, I will leave the waiting room after 15 minutes of the start of the lesson if no one shows. Feel free to message me in advance if something comes up and you need to cancel or change times.

I am willing to work online or in person. If you are new to Wyzant and would like to get online tutoring, I am willing to help you learn the ropes.

I wish you well in you or your child's studies.

I graduated from The College of Idaho in 2010 with a major in psychology and minors in math and computer science. The statistics course I took in college was helpful to both my understanding of psychology and math. Since then, I have refreshed my knowledge of statistics and have been tutoring in math for many years.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

John has really helped my son with his algebra. He was coming home lost and really falling behind in math, John is able to explain it in a way that he gets it. He has brought his grade up from an F to a B. And now no longer has the worry of I can't do math. Thank you John.Knowledgeable and patient tutor
