Fortran

Fortran

I have taught FORTRAN and have used both FORTRAN and Basic in jobs in industry and government. The programming has been on main frames and micro computers. The resulting programs have been used independently or as parts of major systems.

Math

Linear Algebra,

Linear Algebra

I have had a course in matrix theory in college, and is something that I have frequently used. I consider matrix theory to be the basis of linear algebra. I have had courses in and have taught functional analysis, which can be considered an extension of linear algebra. In work, I have used linear algebra. For example the derivation of the temperature profile of the atmosphere from satellite data is approximated by the solution an under determined set of linear equations. Also I have found a solution to the "missing data" problem which is encountered in cases of incomplete data collection.
