I have a master's degree in science focusing on environmental sciences, especially conservation, ecology, physiology and marine sciences. I also am a board certified Veterinary Technician and am quite competent with microbiology, pharmacology, anatomy and other medical related topics. I also excelled in an undergraduate course titled "Teaching Marine Science," which focused on teaching to local high schools. I was responsible for designing lesson plans, working with the school districts to meet state standards, delegating tasks to assistant teachers and overseeing lessons and working hands on with the students. As a graduate student I was responsible for acting as a student teacher when professors were unavailable. I filled in for undergraduate classes such as statistics, marine biology, oceanography and marine monitoring.
Learning has always come very easy to me as I have a photographic memory and I also have a strong desire to teach others. If there is a topic that I am not as proficient at I will do the work to get proficient prior to a session. I am very easy going and my goal is to make learning fun and easy for you. I adapt my teaching styles to your learning style and work at your speed. I work with students of all ages.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a master's in Conservation Biology and Environmental Science. I took Advanced Horticulture in Graduate school. I currently work as a florist and also my favorite hobby is gardening. I have very hands on methods for tutoring this subject, bringing examples with me or taking field trips. I like to create plant collections using the proper preservation methods and taxonomic identification.
I love to cook! I took home ec in High School. I grew up on a farm cooking with my mother and grandmother and learning the tricks of the trade. I have a strong desire to learn new recipes and techniches. I cook daily and extremely comfortable executing any recipe or dish.
I have a Master's in Science from the University of Hawaii at Hilo. I am extremely active in my daughters' (ages 4 and 9) schooling and volunteer regularly. I am proficient in all subjects required during elementary school and I have a knack with children.
I passed Advanced Molecular Ecology with an A+ from the University of Hawaii's graduate program in 2009.
I understand different learning styles and teaching styles and am extremely organized. These attributes relate significantly to quality study skills. I know that my schooling has provided me with the ability to effectively teach study skills.
I took theater all through high school and continued in college. I also participated in community theater. I have taken over 25 credit hours of college theater and participated in over 10 live productions. I am proficient in all aspects of theater including set production. I also was active in college choir and dance including live productions.
I have a Master's in Science specializing in Conservation Bioloby and Environmental Science. I also am a nationally certified Veterinary Technician from Bel-Rea Veterinary Technician Institute in Denver, CO. I excel in zoology and other biological sciences.
