I attended the University of Washington, where I earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics. For over a decade, I have educated students privately at all levels including test preparation. I am a patient, dedicated and determined individual who has a passion for helping others understand a powerful universal language such as math! And I believe that this passion is a huge part of why I am successful today! I would like to share with you some of the reasons why I am successful at what I do.

Many mathematicians before our time have discovered beautiful relationships that have become what we call, "formulas" or "tricks", that we apply in our math classes today. Even though these are convenient and easy to apply, many students still struggle with understanding their class material. "How can this be!?" you might ask. I believe these students just do not understand how these "formulas" or "tricks" came into existence. The thing that individuals who are proficient in math understand is the mechanics of the material. The biggest reason why I am successful is that I strive to teach my students the mechanics instead of just giving them shortcuts. Also, confidence is crucial in becoming proficient in math; I strive to empower my students by presenting problems that set them up for success as well as stretch their thinking.

Ultimately, my hope and desire is to provide you with the necessary skills to take on the challenges in your life that are inevitable. Math can be difficult, but it doesn't have to be. Learn how to "think outside the box" and approach problems in a whole new light today!
