Hi! I have been an enthusiastic student of everything French for many years. I spent a college semester in France and earned a B.A. in French in 1981 from a small liberal arts college in the Northeast. My family and I lived in Switzerland from 2010 to 2013, where I spent several hours each week in a French conversation group. In addition, having the opportunity to use the languguage on an everyday basis allowed me to become extremely comfortable speaking French in almost any situation.
I continue to study and read to keep my skills current. Last year, I earned a certification for an intermediate level of the DELF exam, which is administered by the French Ministry of Education. I would love to help you master the nuances of this beautiful language, whether you need to pass your high school language class or want to know how to ask for directions to the Eiffel Tower. I am a friendly and patient teacher and strive to make my lessons fun and relevant by using a variety of teaching materials Hi! I appreciated talking to Diana - it was very helpful for me to stumble through French conversation. She would speak or correct my French and I found that very productive. She was also quite patient! It was great to meet with her.
Diana was very helpful in getting my daughter organized and reviewing for an upcoming high school French final. Not only that, but she was willing to travel to my town, which is a ways out from where most tutors are willing to go, on short notice. Would be glad to work with her again.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a B.A. In French and have passed the B2 level of the DELF exam, which is administered by the French Ministry of Education. I also recently spent several years living in Geneva, Switzerland, where I spoke French on a daily basis.
