My background: I am a retired engineer with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. I have worked for a large aerospace company for thirty three years designing parts for aircraft systems. I enjoy being able to utilize my real world experiences in the teaching and mentoring of others.

As a teaching assistant in graduate school, I

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am retired engineer from an aerospace company.

I have used math in solving engineering problems.

I have experience in teaching Algebra as a teaching assistant in graduate school.

I enjoy teaching.

I am a retired engineer from a large aerospace company.

I have the know how to apply math in solving the engineering problems.

In college, I have the experience of teaching math subjects- Functions and Graphing, Algebra2, Matrices, and Math of Finance to Freshmen. I enjoy teaching.

I am an Electrical Engineer with Master's degree. While working, and as part of continuing education, I have taken two graduate level Math course at the University of Vermont. One of the courses covered differential equations extensively: Applied Math For Engineers and Scientists

Topics covered:

1) Differential Equations of First order, separation of variables, exact differential equations, Integrating factors, Orthogonal Trajectories

2)Linear Differential Equations, Homogeneous Equations, Real Roots, Complex Roots, Double Roots of the Characteristic Equation, Differential Operators, Euler Cauchy Equation

3) System of Differential Equations

4)Laplace Transformations, Inverse Transformations

5)System of Linear Equations, Gauss Elimination, Determinants, Eigenvalues, and Eigenvectors.

Experience:

I have the experience of applying differential equations of first and second order for modeling of the Electric Circuits. I would feel comfortable in tutoring differential equations to others.

Tutoring Method:

I would ask the student to submit specific problems relating differential equations ahead of time which would give me time to prepare. If the student does not have specific problems and would like a refresher of differential equations, I can tailor that according to the needs.

I am a retired engineer from a large aerospace company with a Master's degree.

I have the know-how to apply math in solving the engineering problems where it is crucial to correctly set-up and solving the differential equations with boundary conditions.

In graduate school, I have taught Pre-calculus, Functions and Graphing, Algebra 1 &2, Matrices, and Math of Finance to Freshmen. I enjoy teaching.
