I have a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education (K-3) and another in TESOL (teaching English as a second language). I am a certified teacher with experience teaching and tutoring students from Kindergarten through adulthood, including experience teaching academic writing at the college level. I am comfortable working with students of any age. I am particularly interested in teaching reading and writing, both for native speakers of English and for students learning English. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
