About Glenna

Bio

I have 27 years experience teaching both in the United States and in Asia. Most of my experience ranges from grade 4 through adult, although I am currently working with younger children. My main focus of teaching has been English reading, writing, grammar and literature. However, over the years, I have also taught geography; middle school math, life science and earth science; Algebra I: and French I and II. I am curious about everything!

I enjoy working one-on-one with people to help them gain understanding about a skill and then to master it. Through mastery of skills and content, I have watched students blossom as they gain self-confidence.

As a tutor, I can help students unravel the mysteries of the English language through vocabulary development, analysis of structure, grammar, and analysis of style. I hold a current Vermont teaching license for grades Pre-K through 12 in English, English as a Second Language and Bilingual (French and Mandarin).
