I was born in Cape Coast in Ghana and completed my High school in 1983. I was employed by Ghana Education Service to teach Elementary school as a pupil teacher so, in 1985, I got admission into Teachers Training College where I studied mathematics and education. In 1988 I completed and obtained 3 year Posec Certificate "A" which allowed me to teach in middle and Junior secondary schools. After nine years in teaching JSS, I gained admission to study mathematics education in the University of Education Winneba, Ghana where I obtained a Bachelor degree in mathematics education and have been teaching for twelve years in High school. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
