"An avid Music Educator", "experienced instructor", and "a patient and encouraging mentor" are all words I would use to describe myself. I hold a Masters degree in Vocal Performance, a Bachelors in Music Education, and a Certificate in Nursing.

Currently, I tutor students in Anatomy & Physiology as they seek to fulfill their pre-requisites for degrees in the Health Sciences. You will find my expertise in the field of Music Performance and Music Education. Having taught every level of music K-12 and undergraduate coursework at Florida School of the Arts in Palatka, FL as well, I can offer a wide perspective in Music Education.

I have for many years taught private voice and piano to students in the community in which I reside. Many of the students who have studied with me are now attending universities such as Roosevelt College, Point Park, UCF, and Jacksonville University.

I enjoy inspiring and motivating students, encouraging them when they struggle to make the connections in the subject at hand. I would count it a privilege to help you with your Anatomy & Physiology or Music needs.

I look forward to working with you soon.

Ear Training

If you want to improve your ear, I can teach you how. Knowing where the music is headed, what intervals are being played, and what chordal inversion is being played are great tools for students who are especially interested in song-writing.

Sight Singing

As a Certified Music Educator with experience teaching all levels K-12, as well as time spent as an adjunct faculty member, teaching students to sight-read was an integral part of what I did on a daily basis. Sight-reading is critical as you move forward in your music education and saves a vast amount of time in learning music for performances.

Voice (Music)

I hold a Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Florida and a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Stetson University. I have been teaching music as a Music Educator in both public and private schools for many years. Students who have studied with me at the collegiate level have been accepted to such prestigious schools as Point Park and Roosevelt College.
