Very knowledgable and responsible AP Chinese tutor

My son has been working with Cassie for the upcoming AP Chinese test for couple of months now, so I think I have observed long enough to write an objective review. Cassie is a very responsible tutor; my son ran into schedule conflicts multiple times and Cassie has stretched her work hours to accommodate all schedule changes and made sure my son doesn't fall behind. Another thing I noticed about Cassie is she made the learning fun and effective; my son commented his Chinese learning is much more efficient with Cassie than other places he went to. As other parents noted, Cassie is also very patient with student. One last thing before I forget, she is a native Mandarin speaker without accent and English is also very fluent, which was I was looking for. Feel lucky we found Cassie on Wyzant. Highly recommend her!

Excellent AP Chinese teacher

Cassie is helping my son prepare for the AP Chinese exam - she is very organized, experienced, and effective. She assigns relevant homework and is doing a terrific job helping him to prepare. We don't speak Chinese at home so it's extremely helpful to have her support. My son says that he is learning a lot from her (more than he is learning in his class at school) and appreciates the extra practice. I believe he will be very well-prepared for his exam this May.

Helpful Tutor in Helping Me Pass My Teacher Certification Mandarin Exam

I'm currently trying to pass my New York State Teacher Certification language exam in order to become a bilingual speech-language pathologist. I've learned a lot of vocabulary and grammar rules from Cassie which has helped me a lot with improving my Mandarin. I would definitely recommend her!

Great tutor

I took Chinese classes at school but I wanted to improve my speaking skills. Cassie was a great tutor and through our lessons I got a lot of speaking practice, improving both my fluency and vocabulary. She was very knowledgeable and delivered relevant and engaging lessons that were helpful.

Cassie has been very helpful in recommending different study techniques or practice material when I struggle. She is always encouraging and creates a friendly environment for unscripted conversation while practicing. I most enjoy that she includes the history and culture of the Chinese language when reviewing characters or different regions of China. Cassie is an excellent tutor who certainly knows what each student needs to succeed at their goal and recommend her to any scenario regarding the Chinese language, especially to university students like myself.
