I hold a masters degree in science with a concentration on education. I've been a staff development coordinator and educator for a local organization helping staff members enhance their knowledge and skill sets.
I've had huge success assisting nurses in obtaining nationally recognized certifications in there area of specialty. Teaching and helping others learn and comprehend material has been a lifelong passion of mine. I'm able to adapt and teach the information on a one to one basis or in a group setting. Adapting to what the learners needs are is what's important in a successful learning environment.
My goal is to ensure that each student gains the knowledge on the subject matter needed to be successful. Teaching is the absolute most rewarding career in my opinion, being able to share the knowledge that I have to help further promote an other individual is a great feeling.
As stated, I am a registered nurse with MSN degree. And I am currently active Critical care nurse certification through the American association of critical care nurses. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I've taken pharmacology course in school. I currently practice Caring for critical care patients in the intensive care unit where my knowledge of medication and dosage calculations are used on a daily basis.
