I have been working in the Chesapeake School system for six years and developed excellent knowledge of providing customized tutoring services to students. My ability to work with students, teachers and parents in order to find out their weakest points, and the aspiration to work towards providing strengthening services has been commended many times. Moreover, my know-how to design and conduct workshops and develop interactive materials for students would enable me to produce excellent results. Additionally, I possess a positive attitude and a passion to assist struggling learners. I have a psychology degree and a current teaching certificate for special education K-12. It is my job to provide specialized instruction for struggling learners. I also have experience in Florida and Virginia Beach at the high school level.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I currently teach math, science, history and language arts at the elementary level. I am a special education teacher and am tasked with individualizing lessons for struggling learners. I have work in the Chesapeake public schools for 6 years and also have experience at the high school level in Florida and Virginia Beach. I currently hold a Virginia teaching certificate for K-12. I pride myself in identifying specific learning style and coordinating lessons to match those styles. This allows student to maximize their potential I currently teach all subjects to second, third, fourth and fifth grade students.
