My teaching style generally is fluid and focuses on broad concepts first, then fundamentals. This provides you with a stronger foundation of knowledge as ideas become progressively more complex and less concrete. I believe practicing skills is important, but not the only way to reinforce retention; and learning pace must be determined by the student.
In other words,
1. I can explain ideas in a way that you will be able to understand easily.
2. I will break down complicated procedures into simple steps.
3. We will work together to make sure you are integrating the information before we move on to anything new.
I currently work as an internet marketer and analyst and high school substitute teacher. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with a minor in Chemistry and a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Finance - both with honors. As a sideline to my living-making occupations, I have taught individuals and full classes in high school and college, tutored innumerable students in academic subjects, taught private and group lessons in piano and dance, trained employees in technical applications and procedures and even taught Sunday school for 12 years. I’m also certified in Google AdWords and as a Business Education teacher. I am an expert seamstress and decorator, passable jewelry designer, satisfactory carpenter, and quasi-dangerous electrician. So you can see, I like to do a lot of things.
No matter what my other work-related duties may be, I have found myself adopting the additional roles of teacher and trainer in every position I have held. Not being a teacher by original intent, I have - probably inevitably - come to the profession as a second career. Somewhere along the way, I realized how much I like to spread my own learning around and that I have a knack for making things understandable. I sincerely can help you with the subjects I have listed on my Subjects List on WyzAnt. My teaching style generally is fluid and focuses on broad concepts first, then fundamentals. Kathryn is a wonderful tutor who consistently strives to find ways to help you learn the subject. She made herself available in person and offline in assisting me in research. She encouraged me to stay the course and helped to map out strategies and approaches that would focus me in new ways. I would recommend her to anyone, especially if you need some motivation in getting to the next step.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am certified in Business Education ... and I'm a pretty good teacher.
If you are interested in doing better in a Marketing class - especially one which involves mathematical analysis, I can help you with both concepts and application. If you are starting your own business, I can work with you on the above and help you design and implement your campaigns.
My profession is Marketing. I currently specialize in online marketing and advertising - which means SEO & SEM. By the way, I'm also an experienced and certified teacher. In addition to my education and experience, I have passed the Google AdWords Exam and was accepted as a Google Engage for Agencies member.
I am offering my tutoring services because of my strong belief that the entrepreneurial spirit is the backbone of our way of life and customer focused marketing is its foundation.

I am classically trained pianist; and I teach both aspiring classicists and garage band players.
I studied classical piano as a child until I graduated from high school (~9 years), laid off for a while in college, and picked it back up after graduation. Several years later, I studied classical piano and theory for another 8 years as an adult.
I can give you more specific information in person as individual music, especially piano, instruction is just that: very individual.
