I have proved successful in working with different age children over 30 years. My goal is to support the parents in their endeavors to increase the child’s self esteem as well as making learning fun. Retention of the necessary subject information is my goal and I enjoy all age groups. My wish is to help a child have a natural curiosity and desire to learn.
I have taught many children from basic math through high school subjects. I love numbers having worked with budgets and accounting for years.
I enjoy science, especially biology and life science. Teaching science with simple hands on activities to visually demonstrate concepts has always been my preference.
I have a wide vocabulary and enjoy teaching English and writing skills. Continued learning is my own goal and one I hope to instill in others. My articles have been published and I wrote a parenting column in my local newspaper fir several years.
History is my passion. Having grown up in England and moving to the US as a young adult I enjoy both World and American History. Again, I feel that linking crafts and art to history is the best way to insure retention of subject material.
My goal is to support children’s learning in their chosen subject area, with the help and support of their parents and family. For the first time in years i am not homeschooling and I love to plan fun classes and activities. I hope this venue will allow me to continue teaching into the future.
