I am currently a math teacher at Stuarts Draft High School in Virginia. I am currently a math teacher at Stuarts Draft High School in Virginia. I have taught at the high school level (Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Precalculus and Calculus) for 15 years and was a Lecturer at the University of Missouri in Rolla (UMR) for two years and a lecturer at the University of Kansas (KU) for two years. At UMR I taught in the Math department (Trigonometry and Multi-variable Calculus). At KU I taught in the Electrical Engineering Department. I have continued my Mathematics education by completing graduate level math classes; recently I completed my 18th credit hour of graduate math courses.

I love being a teacher and helping students. I think it is both fun and rewarding. I regularly tutor my own math students before, after and during school. I occasionally tutor other teachers' math students, even former students who are currently struggling in their college math classes call me, and we meet and "do math". I have grown children and therefore have few family obligations and plenty of time to help in the evenings and on weekends, whatever is convenient for you.

I want to tutor math because I love it! I have always been able to explain math things well. I make the effort to understand where your misunderstanding begins, and clear that up so that the more complicated material can be understood. I will help you with the "WHY"s, not just the "HOW"s. My goal is for you to understand both WHY and HOW to do whatever problems you bring to me.

My hope is that you will be successful in your mathematical endeavors.

Great Tutor!

Always patient. Always accommodating towards my preferred day & time schedule. Explains problem solving clearly. Price is worth it and is money well spent. Great Tutor! I finally found a tutor that meets my needs. Learning Pre-Calculus is not such a dread anymore.

She was awesome!

Needed last minute help with my math homework and Victoria was right there to help me with my math! She was great going through each question that I had and very patient if I did not understand something right away. She makes sure that you are understanding and working on the problem by her side. I will definitely be having another lesson with her soon!

Very Knowledgable

I think with time Victoria will be very helpful in helping my daughter understand higher math concepts. I am no help at all when it comes to math so it is a blessing to have someone like Victoria available to help her work through her homework.
