Presbyterian College (Physics, Applied Mathematics)
I graduated from Presbyterian College in 2015. My majors are Physics and Applied Mathematics. I have always worked as a tutor since high school. I have helped my classmates and friends when they had difficulties in Science or Mathematics. During my college years, I joined the peer tutoring group and worked as a tutor for Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, and Chemistry. I also tutored in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and calculus to middle school kids outside the college. It was a great experience for me.
What I really love about tutoring is the fact that I am sharing my knowledge with others. I feel like the more I teach the better I get on the topics I teach. Tutoring is not just a teaching experience for me but also a learning experience. I learn a lot as a tutor. It encourages me to try various ways of teaching a material as per the need of the students. It makes me really happy to see that the students have understood the material that I am teaching and have done good in their studies. I feel like I have accomplished something important.
I completed my undergraduate in Applied Mathematics. I have tutored in Mathematics both in college level and high school level for more than four years. I also underwent peer-tutor training program where I learned about various ways to tutor as per the need and requirement of the students. These years of experience have helped me become an effective and efficient tutor.
I have a bachelor degree in Physics. I am really confident with the knowledge and understanding of the various topic of Physics. I have also tutored Physics for four years to the college students. I have also worked as a Teacher Assistant for 2 years and a Physics lab technician for 3 years. I have worked closely with my professors and have learned a great deal about teaching from them.

The rate is negotiable. I am sure we can come to a common agreement for the rate.
Detail oriented and knowledgeable tutor. Helped son with concepts for review. Great communicator and patient tutor. Knowledgeable detail oriented. Helped with reinforcing concepts with, practice problems.
My kids wanted to have some assistance studying for a physics test. Pravin asked ahead of time what they wanted to review. He had questions to test them on and was really prepared to make the most of the session.
Pravin met with my high school student to work on Multi-variable Calculus. We emailed him ahead of time the material to be covered. When Pravin arrived, he was well prepared. He explained the material well and stopped during the session to make sure my son understood the concepts. They worked through problems together. In addition, they covered new material, and Pravin was able to look at it and quickly come up to speed. He was very professional and thorough. Thanks Pravin!
The first class was on Algebra 1/A. Pravin is extremely knowledgeable about his subjects and is good at teaching. He was supposed to teach PreAlgebra2 but I had to change gears due to an upcoming test for my son. It was the first class but last chance to teach Algebra A before the test. I plan to have Pravin teach both PreAlgebra2 and Algebra 1 since my son's knowledge of PreAlgebra is shaky. Back to the teaching skills, after teaching he had my son answer an informal, mini test to ensure that he had understood well. Moreover Pravin took the time to answer my son's questions to clear his doubts. My son was delighted with the first class. I wish I had known Pravin before.
Pravin is very patient, polite and very intelligent. He understands very quickly how to help his student. I appreciate it. He is tutoring Algebra 2 to my daughter.
Pravin has tutored my daughter in Physics only a few times and my daughter is already feeling very comfortable with the concepts and is enjoying learning with him. He is very patient and is very thorough in the subject!
Makes concepts and material much easier to understand. Very fluid at explaining the material and has a lot of patience.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
