I am a Quran teacher. I have extensive experience instructing various levels of the Arabic language, from elementary through adult. For the past 25 years, I have focused on comprehension of written Arabic text, as well as the spoken language. I have taught in mixed classroom situations, with both Arab and non-Arab students.
My experience ranges from work in my home country, Egypt, to instructor positions in the United States (Virginia, Maryland, and New Mexico). I instructed at the elementary level and served as liaison for administrative and public outreach issues.
I am dedicated and hard working in the field of Arabic language and Quran studies. I believe that a firm foundation in a foreign language assists students to succeed in all other academic endeavors. The Arabic language is a highly sought after language, with great job potentials for students.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
