My name is Mrs. S. and I really enjoy helping children reach their potential in their scholastic achievement. School does not have to be frustrating and learning can be fun. I love helping children to learn how to make learning and studying fun.
I have several years of experience in Substitute teaching as well as early childhood experience. I subbed for several years in the Stafford Co. VA school system with Elementary children as well as with the Autistic class. I have lots of patience and always enjoy seeing the smiles that come across children's faces when they see that they can be successful in learning!
I have several years of experience in subbing for Head teachers, sometimes acting as a permanent sub when the teacher was out for quite some time. I had to teach all subjects but mainly had to focus on the reading and English classes when the children changed classes.
I have subbed in the Elementary level including the Autistic classes teaching reading, writing, Math, Science & Social Studies. Most of the teachers requested me to teach Reading, Writing, Spelling and English. I have even assisted in helping one student go to the State Spelling Contest.
If you are looking for someone who will be patient, kind and caring about you education and learning, please contact me for assistance. I guarantee you will be able to see that learning will become something fun instead of a overwhelming stressful burden for your child. Being a mother of an ADHD child, I know that some children just need some one on attention and that extra dose of patience to push them to the success that lies within them. I would like to thank you in advanced for choosing me. My name is Mrs. S. and I really enjoy helping children reach their potential in their scholastic achievement. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
