Aside from being an energetic, hard working, and innovative individual, I will be an asset to your tutoring experience for many reasons. The first of these is my commitment to academics. I graduated Summa cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Masters degree in English as a Second Language through the department of Curriculum and Instruction. This means I was top in my graduating class at one of the largest universities in America.
Being an excellent student is not only what sets me apart as an excelling tutor. Among other environments, I previously instructed in both high school and college settings, and I have increased my versatility as an instructor through the diversity of these two environments. I know what high school and college teachers are expecting from their students! My students express to me their earnest appreciation for my energetic teaching, my quick ability to provide feedback, and my student-centered instructional strategy. I always find a way to explain the material to my students, no matter how complex and difficult. Simply put, I love working with my students, and my students love working with me. The results they get and the way I’m able to connect with their learning style all make me a desirable instructor to work with.
Finally, in addition to prolific skills in tutoring writing and reading, I'm extremely qualified in teaching grammar--a subject that is often complicated and intimidating to both tutors and students. A grammar program that I helped spotlight has been well received by students of all academic ages and skill.
My delight for teaching language is an important part of my life. I take responsibility over the effective instruction of my students. My prior education, experience, and excitement resonates my competitive qualifications for this position.
Thank you! I look forward to working with you!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
