I am patient and understanding, which makes interacting with students of all ages more comfortable. I am a passionate writer and editor in my professional and personal life, and spend much of my time giving direction on the proper way to spell, structure sentences, or create an essay, thesis, or dissertation. I have a love of the written word, and it brings me great joy to help others achieve success in their writing and grammar.

I have an undergraduate degree in Political Science, which helps with everything from social studies to civics/government and history. I have a graduate degree in Psychology, and it is through information gained in that coursework that I am better able to understand what a particular student needs in order to be successful. Mathematics is definitely not my forte.

In my free time I love spending time with my family, reading a good book, or writing.

Throughout college I was consistently writing and editing papers that ranged from two to fifty pages in length, and over various topics. I am well versed in topic creation, research, essay structuring, APA, MLA, and Chicago Style citations. I am the embodiment of a grammar obsessor, and am an independent editor outside of my daily "regular" work schedule.

My love of politics stems from a youth spent listening to my father, which was compounded as I majored in it in college. I have special coursework in International Relations, Public Policy, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Statistics, Statistics and Research Methods, Political Sociology, and more. I spend countless hours keeping up with current policies being discussed, as well as following landmark cases being decided in the Supreme Court.

So many schools are being forced to "teach to the test" for standardized testing. Well, not everyone learns this way and many seem to be falling behind. It would be a pleasure to help a student find their way through one of the areas I am well versed in, and watching them discover new information they did not know very well before would be such a gift. Let me know if I can be of service to you.
