I would describe my teaching method to be motivational and problem-solving focused. I see the tutor-student relationship as a collaborative one and use Socratic dialogue and interesting lesson plans to help the student to understand the "why and how" of the subject matter. I firmly believe this makes the information much more relevant than simply learning dates and rote memorization. I have extensive experience training and quality analysis that will be useful for students who are having problems with their approach to mastering material. By modeling lesson plans to fit the student's learning style, mastering subject matter will be more enjoyable and one of the real advantages to selecting me as a tutor. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
