I have been working with children for over 15 years now. My experience with children expands over several subject areas and educational institutions. From the Howard Street reading program at William Fox Elementary school to teaching pre-school and elementary school children English and kindergarten prep for eight years at the Westend preschool center, instilling a love of learning and self confidence in my students have always been the main reasons why I love being an educator. My students have always done extremely well on their placement tests, all scoring a 92% or higher on their kindergarten placement exams. Seeing the growth in my students from when I first meet with them, to when they move on to kindergarten or no longer go to tutoring is both remarkable and rewarding.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
