I love tutoring and helping students understand their subjects better. I have experience tutoring both teenagers and adults. I love teaching primarily because of my lifelong desire to learn. I'm always looking to learn new 'things' whether through taking online classes or simply reading/listening to books. I'm always looking for ways to share my knowledge with others. My tutoring approach is a mentor with emphasis on hands-on practice.
I have graduated with a Master's degree in Information Systems while maintaining the top GPA on President's list. Since then I have over 8 years of experience working for a fortune 100 company and can relate how my academic experience applies to the day-to-day business operation. While there, I was an Improvement leader and have mentored two summer co-ops helping them to understand the corporate culture and exposing them to real-world projects. With a strong background in Mathematics / Statistics I'm fluent in English and Polish, and also studying Japanese.
Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics (dual concentration).
Worked as an Analyst for over five years.
As a teenager I have gone through an ESL program and am now fluent in English. I possess BS and MS degrees from US universities.
I'm also fluent in the Polish language. I've traveled to Poland many times.
I have completed High School in VA and am familiar with SOLs.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
