About Vishwang

Learning is fun but Teaching always feels super awesome! I have been teaching for a long time now. Since I was in Class 8th I have utilized my free time to help and clear the doubts of my juniors and classmates. I have been teaching for more than 8 years now! The praise and appreciation shown by others fuels my interest to keep teaching!

During my college life I have taught in five courses. I was the Teaching Assistant for four courses in the field of Chemical Engineering and Humanities. I was also the In-charge for a course teaching COMSOL and ANSYS (Software used extensively by Engineering Students) to students pursuing their Bachelor's and Master's degree.

I have taught more than 250 students. I have also taken up classes to help under privileged kids by being a member of a few NGOs. I have taught English, Math and Science. I believe that teaching is an art which not only does a noble job of spreading knowledge but also keeps one in touch with the subjects they truly love-- I am a very patient and understanding person and would definitely help students learn at their own pace.

I have been great at math all my life and have almost always scored 95+ out of 100. I used to love solving problems and used to clear the doubt of my friends and classmates. I remember being ahead of my class and being praised by my school teachers. From class 7th till 12th I was the part of the Math Relay team of my school and have won many competitions. I have been writing competitive maths exams since I was in class 4th and have got many prizes in them.

I am currently pursuing my Chemical Engineering Degree from one of the best institutes of India, BITS Pilani. Since school days I had a fascination of working in a Chemical Industry. I have worked in four major chemical industries and have racked up lot of practical knowledge in the fields of petroleum (ONGC) , textile (Century Rayon), adhesives (Henkel) and technology solutions (Honeywell UOP). My cumulative work experience adds up to around a year while I am still a student. I do well in my college with a current cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 8.5/10 [CGPA expected during Graduation : 8.7/10]. I had a GPA of 10/10 the previous semester. I have always loved teaching and clearing the doubts of my juniors and classmates. I feel no problem is too complicated and a little effort can solve it. I am in constant touch with my professors and can always contact them for assistance when an occasional "difficult" problem crops up. We have an option of choosing electives to complete our college credits. Most of the electives I have taken are in Chemical Engineering. I have guided many of my juniors in securing a good internship and have also helped them take proper decisions in choosing electives and projects.

I am a resident of India and Hindi is one the most spoken language here. I have been communicating in and studying Hindi since childhood. I am sure I would be able to help students get a grasp on this language easily.

I had a period of 3 weeks ONLY to prepare for GRE and the score I got made me really happy. I got a total of 323 with 169 in Quant and 154 in Verbal. I was surprised that in the short amount of time I managed to do pretty decently. I am confident that I can guide students and help them perform well in GRE. During my preparation I stumbled across many good books and material which I would be glad to share with others.

I feel I have a decent score of 112/120 in TOEFL. I am proud of this because the amount of time I had got to prepare for it was just 2 weeks. I managed to score 29 in Writing and Listening, 30 in Reading and 27 in Speaking. I am constantly updating myself by reading books and magazines like Time, Outlook etc to improve my skills. I also try to interact with others in English which helps me improve my speaking skill. I am sure I would be able to guide students who want to crack TOEFL as I myself managed to do so in a pretty short time span.

I am a patient teacher with a lot of experience teaching. I would love to share my knowledge and make sure that you learn. I believe that teaching is a two-way learning experience which would help me grow as a person while doing what I love.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
