About Anatonia

I graduated from college in 2013 as an undergrad. My major was in Anthropology/Sociology and Criminal Justice. I work for local Public Schools as an substitute teacher. I mainly teach elementary school kids so far. I love being around children and helping them progress for the future.

I know being in school is difficult and everything that teachers teach isn't easy grasp at first. So, I am here to help you all be successful in school. Here is a chance to work one on one and not feel rushed.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Anthropology

I studied anthropology all four years of my college years. I graduated with a B in my senior thesis on female mutilation. And I read tons of books relating to this subject.

Elementary (K-6th)

I graduated with a bachelor's degree. I now teach kids or substitute for Danville Public schools. While substituting, I taught kindergarten, first grade, third grade and fifth. All the subjects required me to help students on math.

Sociology

During school, I studied Sociology along with my major Anthropology. My major consisted of Anthropology and sociology. Most of the times the two correlated with one another. Sociology helped me learn why people act the way they do, family, culture, class and more

Study Skills

During college, I was a peer advisor for first year students. We had to prepare them for college and help them study and learn the basics of surviving school. Plus I was an ambassador to international students where we had to learn to transition the students to the way Americans studied and one way was through study skills.
