I later earned a Master's in Journalism from Arizona State University and worked at two newspapers prior to returning to Virginia, where I'll begin my fifth year of full-time teaching this fall. I'm presently certified to teach middle-school English in Virginia.

I scored in the 99th percentile on the English portion of the GRE, earned multiple awards as a professional journalist, and have experience tutoring students for both high-school and college entrance writing exams.

I have had five years' experience of teaching in local elementary schools, and have extensive knowledge of how to build students' skills and confidence as they become better readers and writers.

I'm able to tutor any subject and have experience working with students of all ages, and would love the opportunity to help your child make great strides this summer. Let's work together so that your child can be ready to excel in school this fall!

I look forward to hearing from you, and am ready to get started as soon as possible!
