Hello! I am a young professional who works in construction by day and tutors by night. After graduating high school with an advanced diploma, I attended Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia where I earned my BA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. My senior thesis consisted of a small work of poetry and I graduated with a 3.2 GPA. Between semesters at Longwood University, I tutored several middle and high school aged young adults in Algebra, Chemistry, English, and Latin. I also spent several months as a SOL prep crash course tutor at a local high school and helped several students pass their SOLs.

I enjoy teaching kids of all ages the joy of reading, writing, and analyzing literature. In my spare time I love to read books of all types, crochet, hike in the Charlottesville area, lift weights, and attend all the wonderful festivals Richmond has to offer. If I'm not in the gym or in the mountains, you'll find me spending some quality time with my enormous family in the Richmond or Northern Virginia area. I would love the chance to aid any kid in their quest for good grades and knowledge.

At my current job, I work in Microsoft Excel almost exclusively handling formulas, tables, and graphs. I'm also very knowledgeable in the shortcuts that allow you to work quickly and efficiently throughout the program itself.

My four years of rigorous studying of novels and poetry alike prepared me to help others in their studies as well. As an English major at Longwood University, the majority of my classes required multiple essays and frequent analyses of a vast variety of books. I am fully equipped to help students at any level analyze, create, and establish a firm grip on English literature.

My weekdays are flexible and I am available most days after 6:00 PM or anytime on the weekends as needed. Please feel free to reach out any time if you need help, even if it just for one paper.

I took through calculus in college as well as tutored multiple students over the past 8 years, including Algebra 1. By teaching the student slow and making sure they understand the mathematical concepts, I help the student comprehend each lesson while guiding them through practice problems. I find the more you practice the concept, the easier it is to grasp.
