Motivational Math Tutor w/ 5+ Years of Tutoring Experience

Hi there! I hope you're ready to learn because I'm ready to help! I’m currently a Medical Engineering PhD student. I obtained my MS in 2018, and BS in 2016 in Biomedical Engineering. My engineering coursework required successfully passing complex math courses and applying their concepts to various problems. I received an A in Calculus 1, 2, 3 and Differential Equations. Prior to college I received A's in all my math classes as well (part of the reason I went into engineering). While in college I served as a supplemental instructor for Biomaterials and a Lead Facilitator for Pre-calculus. In both positions I was able to help students complete homework assignments, study for test and overall understand the material better. I particularly enjoyed my position as a Lead Facilitator for Pre-calculus because I was able to teach a class of students for an hour and a half 4 days out of the week. I loved coming up with creative ways to help the students learn and enjoyed watching them grasp the material.

When it comes to any math subject I believe it is very important to understand the CONCEPTS. Whenever I am tutoring I make sure my students know the reason behind their calculations. Math subjects build upon one another and it's imperative to start with a good foundation. I really like tutoring Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus because these are important subjects to master prior to taking more advanced math courses.

P.S. I am very motivational and patient when it comes to helping others. I've worked with students from ages 5-35 before, helping with math, other subjects, cheerleading and dance.
