I love helping my students feel confident in their abilities and to help them grow by identifying the studying and learning strategies that work best for them. I’ve lived all over the country as an Army brat and have tutored a variety of students studying everything from Arabic to Sociology. I can’t wait to aid you on your academic journey! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me here on Wyzant. I respond quickly!

As a military child, I’ve had contact and exposure to many cultures and languages. This introduction to diversity at a young age is what sparked my passion. I specialize in creating personalized study strategies to help students retain vocabulary, understand grammar structures and also important cultural elements relevant to each language. I speak English, Spanish, Japanese, Arabic and German conversationally and know ASL at an intermediate level. I have been fortunate to be able to practice with native speakers from all over the world, so I will be able to provide a holistic learning experience in both the language and culture of your interest!

I took AP Language and AP Literature in high school. I passed both of the AP tests and really enjoyed the experience of diving deep into my native language. If you’re preparing for the ACT English portion I can most definitely help, as I performed best on that section of the test. Personalized study regimens are one of my favorite things to develop for test prep, and they will help you learn in the way that comes most naturally to you. I’ve prepared many students for the ACT, SAT and AP tests in the past, so I have lots of experience with this type of tutoring.

Whether it’s Japanese or the ACT, I will help make the learning experience both enjoyable and meaningful. I believe people’s true potential can be unlocked once they discover a love for learning, so I

She was great! I'm older and she was patient, explained it so I could easily understand her, wish I picked her sooner!

I am trying to do a presentation, we almost got done on the first lesson. So kind and sweet, with helpful hints that work! Going to see her 2 times next week! Thank you, Miss D.!
