About Stephanie

Bio

Hi there, my name is Stephanie and I've been tutoring since 2005. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and my Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, which is a branch of psychology specializing in behavior and skill development.

I love getting to teach on a one-on-one basis and seeing the progress my students make in terms of their grades in school and overall study skills and self-esteem. Seeing their confidence build is one of my greatest pleasures.

Hi there, my name is Stephanie and I've been tutoring since 2005. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and my Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, which is a branch of psychology specializing in behavior and skill development.

I love getting to teach on a one-on-one basis and seeing the progress my students make in terms of their grades in school and overall study skills and self-esteem. Seeing their confidence build is one of my greatest pleasures.

Throughout my years of tutoring, I have consistently focused on Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Prealgebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. The majority of my students have been between the ages of 14 and 18, although more recently I've taught younger children from 3-9-years-old.

I believe that a large part of what has made my students successfully improve their grades in the past is practice, so at the end of each lesson, I assign some extra practice for my students to complete before their next lesson.

I'm looking forward to meeting you and hopefully having a lesson together!

I have not only provided one-on-one therapy to students with Autism for 3 years, but have also worked with students with unique learning needs such as ADD/ADHD in math and reading skills.

If they need some extra guidance on a particular problem, I will provide it, and then fade out my help from that problem on.
