Bio

I have taught special education for 21 years in the public school system. I have tutored nondisabled, as well as students with disabilities from grades K-7. I am a Level I Certified Wilson Instructor. As a special educator, I have utilized a variety of materials, technology, and activities to motivate the reluctant learner. I have taught special education for 21 years in the public school system. I have tutored nondisabled, as well as students with disabilities from grades K-7. I am a Level I Certified Wilson Instructor. As a special educator, I have utilized a variety of materials, technology, and activities to motivate the reluctant learner. I truly enjoy individual tutoring because it allows me to give immediate feedback and to adjust my lesson plan. As a teacher, I am more than happy to collaborate with my student's classroom teachers. Additionally, I am comfortable talking with parents about their child's strengths, needs, and tutoring focus.

I have been fortunate in my experiences with students with autism, learning disabilities, emotional disturbance, intellectual disabilities, vision and hearing impairments. Additionally, I worked as a speech therapist for 7 years.
